HOW TO PASS AN INTERVIEW
HOW TO PASS THAT INTERVIEW
Here are some of the quick ways to pass any interview and get that Job.
1. Prepare.
Most people lose opportunities because of lack of preparation for interviews, this is an opportunity for you to prove to the employer that you are the best candidate of that position, interviews are a way employers analyze employees if they are the right candidate for the position, and you are supposed to prepare for the interview to express yourself accordingly. Here are some of the ways you can prepare for an interview.
a. Research information about the company – this point is very important as the employer expects you to have information about their company starting from products to how many employees they have and what their vision is. This information will actually give you an opportunity to reach the next level.
b. Dress smart – dressing is part of the first impression an employer would get about you whether to get you or not, you are supposed to look smart to attract the employers attention, choose a dress code and color that makes you look different and unique if you are not good at selecting colors use Google to check out some of the colors you can put on
c. Good English – on this point, you need to understand that interviews will be done according to the language used in the religion where you are, but almost worldwide English is used by a lot of companies and it’s important that you become a good English speaker and writer. How you speak and write will determine whether you be selected or not, poor English as destroyed opportunities for people because a human resource interviewing you always wants to hire the best profession for the advertised position.
2. Have boldness – when attending an interview you need to make sure you look as bold as possible not weak or self-pity because an employer is looking forward to hire someone with self-confidence, according to human resources officers they are looking at someone with required skills to do the job, having confidence will actually help you answer any question no matter how tricky its seems to be.
3. Have the skills – the interviewer wants to hire someone with the required skills to do the Job, make sure you learn or research the required skills for the position you are applying for. When you go on Google and search for any passion or job description they will actually refer you to the best sites with good answers about the Job you want. Having a Job description and knowing the skills needed will give you an advantage to stand out. And if you have a certain job you want in mind I want you not to give up on it because a chance will always come for you to be interviewed, whilst you are waiting for that chance to come to make sure you teach yourself what is required, right now as you are reading this post go on YouTube and learn from different experienced people in that very field you want.
4. Know your Worth – this point is important because the employers are looking for people who know there are worth, for this generation they is always room for negotiation, every interview you will attend will have a part for negotiation and you must be wise enough in order to get the best, most of the people have end up getting a job with less money because they thought it wise to get less for themselves and now they are perishing, listen never get less than what you want to get it’s a sign of not knowing your worth, do a market research for the range of the salary of the position you are interviewed for and use it during the interview. If they ask you how much do you want you can answer in two ways;
a. According to the market for this position of ……. It is at 800$ and am down for minimum 750$
b. Or you could get into them by asking how much they are offering and if they say 500$, you can reply by saying, “is that what the market pays for this position” if they answer that that’s what they can offer you can negotiate to them by telling them the correct salary according to the market so that they give you in the same range. Do not think it is wise to get less. Always be prepared and you will finally get the Job, companies will only pay maybe 10% of what they are making, be wise when dealing with a salary issue.
